Languages

The app in nine languages, and every customer addressed in their own.

GardyProp speaks English, German, Greek, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish and Arabic. Arabic is laid out right to left, not just translated.

There are three separate language settings, and mixing them up is the usual confusion.

Step by step

  1. Your company's languageSettings, field Language. This is what you and your team see.
  2. A customer's language — on the customer, or during the survey. This is the language their reports and messages go out in.
  3. The portal — your customer switches it themselves, in their own portal. You do not have to guess right.

Good to know

A customer with no language set is not English. The field stays empty on purpose, and an empty field falls back to your company's language. A Cypriot pool company serves Greek, English and Russian speakers, so the company setting is a guess, not an answer — and an empty field stays visible as a question.

The pool calculator and this help centre are public and translated too. Both work without a login, in all nine languages.

What it does not do

Your own text is not translated. Notes, checklist items you wrote yourself, damage descriptions and the name you gave a pool stay in the language you typed them in. Only GardyProp's own words change.

Reports go out in the customer's language, but the readings and the technician's note inside them are reproduced as they were entered.
