Profitability

What a pool and a customer bring in after material and labour — and what is left out.

For a chosen month, GardyProp shows per pool and per customer what came in and what it cost.

Step by step

  1. Open Profitability.
  2. Choose the month. It is in the address, so a view of one particular month can be sent to somebody without describing it.
  3. Read the table per pool, or the summary per customer.

Good to know

The result is called contribution before travel, not margin. Travel costs are not in it. A column showing 0.00 would have claimed that driving is free — see how the margin is calculated.

A customer's total is built only from fully calculated rows. A customer with four pools, one of which has no price, would otherwise get a figure that looks like the whole and is three quarters of it. The number of pools left out is shown next to it.

Nothing is extrapolated and nothing is assumed. What cannot be calculated comes back empty and appears in the gaps list — never as a zero that slips into a total.

The gaps are named, with names. Technicians with no cost rate on record. Monthly salaries with no hours. Pools with no price. Pools with a price but no visit in the period. That list is the work; the table is the result.

It sits in the stock add-on. Without material prices there is no cost side, and material prices live in stock.

What it does not do

There is no year view and no comparison between months.

It does not tell you what to charge. It tells you what one pool brought in last month.
