Sites and pools
A customer can have several properties, and a property several pools.
Before you start
GardyProp keeps three levels apart: the customer you invoice, the site you drive to, and the pool you service. They are separate because the facts attached to each are separate.
Step by step
- Open the customer.
- Press Add site. Give it a name — Villa Eleni, Apartment Limassol — and its own address and pin.
- To create a pool, press the survey button on the site. **The pool comes into being during the survey**, not here — see the on-site survey.
- For a second pool at the same property — a jacuzzi next to the main pool — start another survey on the same site.
Good to know
Why three levels and not two: the billing address belongs to the customer, the gate code and the key location belong to the site, and the volume and the equipment belong to the pool. Put them on one record and a customer with a villa in Paphos and an apartment in Limassol has one gate code for both.
A jacuzzi is a pool. It has its own volume, its own readings and its own dose. Villa Eleni with a pool and a jacuzzi is two pools, and both count against your plan — see why you cannot add another pool.
There is no "Add pool" button. It was removed on purpose. It used to ask for name, length, width, depth and chlorine-or-salt at a desk, and the survey asked the same questions again at the poolside. Whoever filled in only the first had estimated dimensions in the system, and every chemical dose was calculated from them.
What it does not do
A site cannot be moved to a different customer, and a pool cannot be moved to a different site. If a property changes hands, create it under the new customer.
