The on-site survey
Everything GardyProp needs to know about a pool, recorded once, standing in front of it.
Before you start
The survey is where a pool comes into being. Not at a desk — at the poolside, filled in by the person who can see it.
It is one form, and it works the same on a laptop and on a phone. There is no separate "field version": a field version and an office version drift apart. The layout adapts, the fields and the checks do not.
Step by step
- Open the site and press the survey button. GardyProp creates a pool with a name and nothing else, and opens the form.
- The way in — gate code, alarm code, where the key is, whether there is a dog, anything about security, and any special instruction.
- The pool — name, dimensions, chlorine or salt, construction and surface. See dimensions and volume.
- Photos and video — see photos and videos.
- The customer — phone number, which language they are addressed in, and whether they get a message before and after each visit.
- Save, or save and complete.
Good to know
Pressing the button twice does not create a second survey. On a phone with a bad connection that happens constantly. A second press continues the survey that is already open.
A second pool at the same property is deliberate. Villa Eleni with a pool and a jacuzzi is two surveys — use another pool on the same site.
The customer's phone and language are asked here on purpose. The survey is the one moment when somebody is actually standing with them. Asking later means not asking.
Completing is not final — see reopening a survey.
Who may do it
The office always. A technician only if you switch it on: Settings → Field app → Initial survey. It is off by default.
With the switch on, the survey opens from the visit itself — the technician taps Add pool data where the dosage recommendation would be, and lands in the same form, inside the tour window rather than the back office.
The switch hands over more than the pool. The survey contains the address, the gate code, the alarm code, where the key is and the customer's phone number — exactly what address masking otherwise keeps off the device. That is deliberate: the operator who drives out himself would otherwise be locked out of his own pool. It is your decision, and it is one switch.
What it does not do
The survey does not schedule anything. It records what is there; putting the pool into a route is a separate step.
It does not check that you are actually at the property. The distance check is part of the technician's app on a normal visit, not of the survey.
