Reopening a completed survey

A completed survey is read-only. It does not have to stay that way.

Step by step

1. Open the completed survey.
2. Press Reopen.
3. Change what needs changing and save, or complete it again.

Good to know

Why it can be reopened at all: a survey is a data sheet, not an invoice. It holds the gate code, the pool dimensions and the way in — and all of those change. A transposed digit in the depth would otherwise stay in the system forever and skew every chemical dose calculated from it.

Reopening is logged — who did it, when, and when the survey had been completed. Somebody changing a finished record leaves a trace. Without one, an altered number would sit there later with nobody able to explain it.

Pressing it twice is not an error. A survey that is already open just stays open. On a slow phone the second press is the normal case, not the exception.

What it does not do

Reopening does not undo anything that was already derived from the survey. If a route was planned or a price agreed in the meantime, those stay as they are.

The log records that it was reopened, not what was changed afterwards. It is a trace, not a full audit trail of every field.
