Photos and videos of the pool

The photos from the survey are what the next technician sees before they have ever been to the property. They are worth the two minutes.

Step by step

1. In the survey, you get three photo sections: - Entrance — the door and the street. This is how somebody who has never been there finds the place. - Pool — the overview. - Pump room — the equipment.
2. Press a section and take the photo, or pick one from the device.
3. For the pump, add a short video if something needs to be heard or seen running.

Good to know

Each photo carries where and when it was taken, if the device would say. That is what makes the survey a record rather than a folder of pictures.

Photos are shrunk in your browser before they are sent. A modern phone photo is several megabytes; on a Cypriot mobile network, uploading three of them at full size is a minute you spend standing in the sun. Nothing is lost — the server would resize them anyway.

Videos are limited to 60 seconds and 100 MB, and the length is measured before anything is uploaded. Uploading 80 MB for three minutes and then being told it is too long would be the worst possible order.

Videos are for you, not for the customer. They stay on the technician's side and do not appear in the service report.

What it does not do

HEIC photos from an iPhone are uploaded as they are rather than shrunk in the browser. They still work, they just take longer on a weak connection.

A photo without location data is not rejected. Some phones strip it, and a photo without coordinates is still better than no photo.
