The calendar
Everything with a date in one place, at three zoom levels.
The calendar shows routes and work orders together — everything that has a date.
Step by step
- Open Calendar.
- Switch between Month, Week and Day.
- Click any entry to open it.
Good to know
The detail follows the space, not a preference. In the month view there is no room for a route name, so days carry dots. In the week view each day is a column with the name, the number of stops and who is driving. In the day view there is room for the actual order of stops and the description of a work order. Same data, unfolded three times.
All three views hang on one date. Click the 19th in the month view, switch to Day, and you get the 19th — not today.
The calendar reads, it owns nothing. Routes live with routes, work orders with work orders. Nothing can be created here, because then the same appointment would exist in two places and the second would know nothing about the first.
What it does not do
You cannot drag an entry to another day in the calendar. Move it where it lives — in the route or in the work order.
Repeating routes appear on every matching weekday, but they are not stored as individual days. What you see for next March is calculated, not recorded.
