How messages reach the customer
WhatsApp and email — and a log that records the attempts that failed.
Before you start
Each customer has a channel: WhatsApp, Email or None. It is set on the customer and asked again during the survey.
Step by step
- Open the customer.
- Set Notifications — WhatsApp, Email or None.
- Choose whether they get a message before and after each visit.
Good to know
Every attempt is logged, failures included. A message that never went out has to be visible as such — otherwise did the customer know? becomes unanswerable, which is exactly the situation the log exists to prevent.
WhatsApp needs to be configured for your business. Without it, GardyProp falls back to a link the technician can tap to open WhatsApp themselves. It works; it is just not automatic.
SMS is not offered. The channel exists in the database and nothing sends it. Choosing it would notify nobody, quietly — so it is not in the list.
"None" is a valid answer. Some customers genuinely do not want a message after every visit. The report still exists and the link still works.
What it does not do
There is no fallback from one channel to the other. A failed WhatsApp message does not get re-sent as an email.
Delivery to the phone is not confirmed. The log records that the message was handed over, not that it was read.
