Cost per kilometre

There is no field where you type what a kilometre costs. It is calculated from the fuel log and the annual cost, for the period you are looking at.

Step by step

1. Open Vehicles. Each card shows the cost per kilometre.
2. Open a vehicle to narrow the period. From and to are inclusive — asking for the 31st includes the 31st.

Good to know

It is a result, and that is the whole point. A rate somebody types is a guess that never gets revised. A calculated one moves when fuel prices move.

Not calculable is an answer. If the odometer is missing, the distance is missing, and GardyProp says so instead of estimating. A rate built on a guessed mileage would look right and end up in every quote.

Same rule for consumption: it is only shown if both fill-ups were full.

Every vehicle is calculated the same way, with one loop over the same function — deliberately not a second, faster query for the list. Two calculations for the same rate are two truths, and the second one lags.

What it does not do

It does not allocate cost to customers or pools. That happens in profitability, through the route.

It carries no depreciation model. What you entered as annual cost is what is spread over the months.
