First steps with GardyProp

From signing up to your first route, in the order that actually works.

There is no setup wizard, and that is deliberate. GardyProp asks for your company details once, and everything after that you build up as you go — a customer, a pool, a price, a route.

This page is the order. Each step links to the detail.

Step by step

  1. Your company details. The app stays closed until they are confirmed. Address, phone, VAT rate and the map pin your routes start from — what each one is for.
  2. Create your first customer. Name is the only thing you must type; see adding a customer.
  3. Add the property. A customer can have several — see sites and pools.
  4. Survey the pool. This is where the pool actually comes into being, standing in front of it: the on-site survey.
  5. Agree a price. Per pool, net or gross — the service price.
  6. Plan a route. Now there is something to plan.

If you already have a customer list, step 2 and 3 can come from a file: importing customers.

Good to know

The pool is not created at a desk. There is no "Add pool" button any more. Length, width, depth and equipment are asked once, at the poolside, by the person who can see them. Estimated dimensions would go into every chemical dose from then on.

Nothing here has to be finished in one sitting. The only thing that blocks you is the company details, and that is because a quote with no address on it is not a quote.

What it does not do

GardyProp does not import your existing routes, visit history or invoices. Customers, sites and pools can come from a file; everything that happened before you started is not carried over.
