Loading the van, and putting it back

Before a route the van gets loaded from the warehouse. In the evening what is left goes back. It is the same operation with the sides swapped.

Step by step

1. Open Vehicles and press Load on the van.
2. Choose the direction — into the vehicle, or back to the warehouse.
3. Pick the warehouse it comes from or goes to.
4. Enter several items at once with their quantities.
5. Save.

Good to know

One screen, one route, both directions. Putting it back in the evening is the same movement with the sides swapped. Two screens for one operation behave differently within six months.

Several items at once, because nobody loads a van with a single canister. Up to 200 lines in one go.

Nothing is created or destroyed here. A transfer moves an amount from one place to another; the total across all locations does not change. That is what makes it distinguishable from a delivery, a consumption and a correction — and why the question where did it go stays answerable.

The vehicle page shows every load, not just a list of vans. A vehicle with no visible contents would be an index card; the reason it is in the app at all is the stock on it.

What it does not do

Loading does not check against the route. GardyProp does not tell you that twelve pools need more chlorine than you just loaded.

It does not warn you when the warehouse goes negative. The book records what you say happened — the count is what finds the discrepancy, see shortfalls.
