Readings and chemicals

This is the heart of a service visit: what the water was, what GardyProp suggests, and what actually went in.

Step by step

1. In the visit, open the readings step.
2. Enter what you measured — chlorine, pH and whatever else your business has configured.
3. GardyProp shows a dose suggestion, calculated from the pool volume and the reading.
4. Enter what you actually added. It does not have to match.
5. Continue.

Good to know

The suggestion and the amount used are recorded side by side. That is the point. A pool where the technician consistently adds twice the suggestion is telling you something — either the volume on record is wrong, or the water is.

The dose is calculated from the volume, so it is only as good as the volume is. See dimensions and volume.

What was used is booked off the van. If the route has a vehicle and the vehicle is a stock location, the material leaves that stock. If not, the consumption is recorded but nothing is booked.

Which readings are asked is your setting. Settings → Field App holds the parameters and their target ranges.

What it does not do

GardyProp does not refuse an implausible reading. A pH of 14 is recorded as entered — the technician standing there knows better than a validation rule.

The dose suggestion is arithmetic on volume and target range. It does not know about bather load, rainfall or what happened yesterday.
